John & Hannah's story
We have been married for 19 years and have 4 boys, ranging from 11 to17 years old.
We have been in The Ark community church for 7 years. Whilst we were in a previous church, we ran a housegroup for 3 years and a 'Kid's club' in our home for 2 years.
Over the years we have known God's faithfulness, provision and healing and have seen lives changed.
We both want to see God move more and more within our local community, changing and touching lives of our neighbours, friends, family and work colleagues.
John's story
I was born & grew up in Watford. I didn’t become a Christian until I was 28. My life was very much about drinking and fighting, gate crashing as many parties as I could find. I had done most things by this age and was looking for a new direction in my life. I was planning to disappear from Watford, but God had other plans! I was invited to a meeting at Watford Colosseum, where I realised I needed Jesus in my life. So in March 1983, I asked Jesus into my life! Three years later, after Jesus had cleaned up my life, I met my wife. I am now married to a wonderful and most precious lady, who I love dearly.
Hannah's story
I was born into a large, Christian family. Being brought up in the Brethren church, the Bible was a major part in my up-bringing for which I feel privileged. I asked Jesus to be my personal friend and Saviour when I was 7 years old. When I was 16 I had an encounter with God and understood what it meant to be filled with His spirit.
In 1984 I moved to Watford where I met my wonderful husband, John.
I have come to realise more & more that our life is a journey with God, where we never stop learning or moving (unless we don't allow Him to teach us or move us on). It all springs from an intimate relationship with Jesus, where we commit each moment of our life to Him. No moment of our life is ever wasted unless we allow it to be.
'...Just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted & built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.'
Colossians ch2 verse 6
